Intro to Handstands is a class for people who want to learn how to do a handstand but don't know where to start. The class will include conditioning, flexibility, and body awareness to open up the pathways to a successful handstand practice. The class will also help each student develop a personal practice to help them continue their handstand journey after the class ends.

This class is intended for anyone who has a foundation of handstand practice and wants to fine-tune their handstand. The class will include conditioning, flexibility, and body awareness to open up the pathways to a successful handstand practice.
Pre-requisite: ability to do a 30-60 second plank, comfort kicking up to a handstand in the middle of the room unspotted (do not need to hold)

This progressive 8-week series is designed for hoopers looking to deepen their flow, refine their movement, and build choreography with intention. Students will not only learn structured sequences but also develop their own unique choreography, exploring how movement, rhythm, and personal style come together to tell a story. This class encourages creative expression while offering foundational drills, sequencing exercises, and movement exploration to expand hoop dance practice. All levels are welcome.

This mini-session will introduce students to techniques for executing and linking basic acrobatic movements into fluid sequences. We will use simple patterns like rolls, cartwheels, extensions, and inversions to explore momentum, spirals, gravity, and relationship to the ground in order to find a feeling of flow in motion. Classes will include warmup, acro skill progressions, sequencing, and improvisation. Students should feel comfortable bearing weight on their hands, and exploring many orientations of the body in space. Ages 16+.
