Low Back and Core in Circus (16+)
$30 per class
A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.
Sunday, May 25 from 12:30-2:30pm
Your core and lower back are the powerhouse of your circus practice—whether you’re hanging, balancing, bending, or twisting, everything starts here. Join Laurel Wolfzinger, PT, DPT in this class which will help you assess and understand your own movement tendencies: are you a "pressure pusher" who over-braces, or a "wobbly middle" who lacks stability? Through guided movement assessments and functional strength tests, you’ll identify personal weak points and learn targeted exercises to build a stronger, more resilient core. We’ll focus on creating both control and mobility, giving you the tools to protect your spine, support your tricks, and move with confidence. You’ll gain insight into your unique core patterns and compensations, strengthening and stabilization drills tailored for circus demands and techniques to reduce low back strain and prevent injury. Ideal for any circus artist looking to level up their performance by building a solid, injury-resistant center. Ages 16+.
