Intermediate/Advanced Mixed Aerial Drop In (16+)
$22 per class
From $17 per visit with Six Drop in Pass (one free!) pass
A credit card is required to enroll but isn't charged until the time of service.
Level: intermediate/advanced
During our summer session (June 30 - August 22), class will be held:
Drop In Thursdays from 5:30-6:45pm with Heather Scheck
This is a mixed apparatus class (students may encounter any number of aerial apparati) and is for students with significant aerial experience. Due to the nature of summer drop ins, this class is a bit of a grab bag depending on who shows up! Students may be asked to choose an apparatus to work on, or may be guided by the teacher who will lead a planned lesson in a single apparatus. This class is a good fit for students willing to be creative and flexible in translating across disciplines, engaging with the theoretical underpinnings of the aerial arts, and who are self motivated.
Prerequisite: Comfort stringing skills together on vertical and/or bar apparatus with the stamina to be in the air for at least 3-5 min at a time. Short arm and long arm hang for at least 10 seconds, inversion in the air, comfort with pullovers, basic beats, and a strong working memory of aerial patterns. Participants should have self awareness and ability to risk assess while in the air, experience with self practice, and an interest in theory as well as practice of the aerial arts. Ages 16+.
Drop in Cancellations: Classes with fewer than three sign ups by 12 noon on the day the class is offered will be canceled. Please support our ability to keep classes up by signing up by 12 noon! In the case of cancellation, any enrolled students will be notified via the email we have on file and not charged.
